The Challenge
Vietnam faces the urgent challenge of mobilizing significant financial resources to meet its energy transition and decarbonization goals.
The World Bank estimates Vietnam needs over $114 billion for immediate energy needs, industry decarbonization, and supportive social programs. At the same time, Vietnam must address the rising costs of climate adaptation, projected to require $254 billion over the next two decades.
A holistic, collaborative approach is needed to unlock large-scale funding, de-risk private investment, and drive decarbonization.
